Sewer lines · repair and replacement
Sewer line repair and replacement in Yakima
A camera shows us what is wrong inside the line, then we fix it by pipe bursting, a point repair or a full dig, whichever your yard and your pipe actually call for.
Chapter 01
Slow drains, gurgling and wet spots usually start below the lawn
Sewer trouble tends to show up in the house before anyone sees the pipe. A drain gurgles, three fixtures clog at once, a sewage smell drifts up from the basement, or a patch of the yard stays soggy in August. Any of those can mean a blockage or a break in the line that carries waste off your property.
The usual causes are grease and debris build-up, tree roots, and old pipe that has corroded, cracked or shifted with the soil. Yakima Valley yards have plenty of mature trees, and roots go straight for the moisture in a sewer line. Left alone, the problem becomes a health hazard first and a property damage bill second, for a house or a business.

A camera inspection before anyone picks up a shovel
Joe and the crew start with a camera inspection. We run a camera down the line and look at the pipe ourselves, so we know the exact spot and the cause instead of guessing and digging. That one step saves a lot of lawn, driveway and money.
The camera also shows early warning signs of the next problem, like a root just starting to push through a joint or a low spot beginning to form. We tell you what we see, show you the footage, and recommend a fix that keeps the line running for years. The estimate is free, and the price you get never changes after the fact.
Chapter 03
Pipe bursting, a single repair or a full open trench
Pipe bursting is our trenchless option for a line that is collapsed or past saving. The old pipe is broken apart in place while a new, durable pipe is pulled into its path, so we dig only small access pits instead of trenching the whole yard.
If the damage is confined to one spot, a sectional point repair fixes just that segment and costs less than replacing everything. When the damage runs the length of the line, traditional excavation replaces the failed section outright. It is more disruption, and sometimes the only honest answer.
Which one fits depends on the camera footage, the pipe, the landscaping above it and your budget. Financing through Housecall Pro and Wisetack is available for the bigger jobs in Yakima, Selah, Union Gap and the rest of Yakima County and Kittitas County.

What the camera finds, and where to go from there
Blockages
Grease, debris and foreign objects pile up and restrict the flow, which is how you end up with backups, slow drains and gurgling.
Root intrusion
Roots seek moisture, find a joint, get inside and grow. They crack the pipe, clog it and sometimes collapse it.
Cracked or collapsed pipe
Age, ground movement and outside pressure can crack a line, shift it or flatten it completely.
Corrosion
Older metal pipe rusts from the inside out until it leaks or breaks.
Bellied pipe
A stretch of line sinks and leaves a low spot where waste and water collect, so the same drain clogs again and again.
Joint leaks
The seals between pipe sections give out and let waste seep into the soil around the line.
